Hi everyone,
In the midst of the ever growing threat of the Coronavirus, I would like to let you all know that when dog grooming scissors are bought, I personally ensure that each scissor has been steamed, wiped, oiled and of course that the tension is set correctly. The reason for steaming rather than using a chemical disinfectant, is that any chemical spray or liquid will have a negative effect on the scissors. It can cause rust and prevent the dog grooming scissor from working to its full potential. Steaming is kinder to the scissors yet will kill any bacteria or virus immediately.
The dog grooming scissor cases themselves, are all sprayed with Detol Spray.
I personally ensure that my hands are washed thoroughly and then sanitised prior to handling each pair of scissors. All fragile tape, envelopes, return address stickers and the First Class Signed For labels are carefully handled with no need for hand to mouth contact.
My office space is also thoroughly cleaned and steamed. As I work from home, no public access is allowed into my home at any time.
The postal service I use is Royal Mail First Class Signed For. I have been informed that any parcel that requires a signature, will be delivered as normal, however, the Postman will sign it to avoid contact and possible spread of the virus.
